This is so fantastic and a great step forward for the Indonesian educational system!
This editorial demonstrates what is possible when politicians reject greed and try to inspire people by doing the right thing (as mentioned in today's other great opinion piece).
This new policy will help countless children get an education they might not have been able to afford otherwise.
While other politicians are wasting energy trying to censor the Internet and oppress religious and political minorities, here is a politician who has fought for a policy that will do so much good for the children of Indonesia, and for the country as a whole in the long term.

The 'prophet' get four years -- April 24, p. 1
Now the court has made a martyr. Every prophet has "defamed" the status quo and upset the existing belief system. Jesus, for example, was put on the cross for "blasphemy".
By throwing this guy in jail the court is essentially validating his claim. The judges, the prosecutors and all those involved in pursuing these silly and unconstitutional proceedings are not fit for office.
Now go and prosecute me under Article 207 or whatever it is for defaming public officials. What a tragic farce.

I hope the Indonesian President respects the proposals of his advisory committee and also has firm faith that he will not take the law of God into his own hands and thus will be protected from the wrath of Allah.
I also recall the fate of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Gen. Zia-ul-Huq of Pakistan who were in the forefront in doing atrocities against the followers of Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadian. Please learn a lesson.
