The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) questioned on Wednesday Setya Novanto as a witness in the e-ID graft case on Wednesday.

“We are questioning Setya to further develop the case and to find out whether others were involved in the corruption,” the antigraft body’s spokesman, Febri Diansyah, said.

Setya, however, refused to take all questions from the press.

“Let's trust the investigators and prosecutors  to do their job,” he said. The former House of Representatives speaker is scheduled to hear the judge’s interlocutory decision at the Jakarta Corruption Court on Thursday.

The KPK was scheduled to question House lawmaker Melchias Marcus Mekeng and Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo on Wednesday.

However, Melchias and Ganjar informed the KPK that they would not be able to fulfill the summons on Wednesday and asked that their questioning sessions be rescheduled. (vla/ebf)
