Goa Lawah Temple
Goa Lawah is one of Bali’s most important
temples. It features a complex
built in a cave opening inhabited by
hordes of bats and its name translates
into English as simply ‘Bat Cave’.
This temple was said to have been
established in the 11th-century by
Mpu Kuturan, a high priest.
