Marching band competition

DENPASAR: Sanur’s Wisata junior high school took first place at Bali Marching On Stage 2012. The second place went to Saraswati 1 junior high school. Both junior high schools surprisingly defeated their own senior high school competitors. Saraswati 1 senior high school took third place.

“Despite our effort to approach schools across Bali, only schools in Denpasar and Badung showed up for the competition,” committee member Dewa Made Oka Pramaita said.

As many as 12 judges were involved in the competition. Musicality and chorography were two main elements in the scoring.
