SMAN 3 Denpasar launches digital library
Denpasar: After successfully launching an online television station, students of state-owned senior high school SMA Negeri 3 Denpasar launched the Madyapadma digital library on Friday.
“Digital technology is developing. We want to provide easy access to our books and research work, digitally,” said Putu Ayu Suastidewi, the leader of Madyapadma journalistic park, the school’s extracurricular group.
So far, 10 research reports and 13 books have been uploaded into the Madyapadma digital library: www.madyapadmadigitallibrary.com. It cost Rp 2 million (US$212) for the students to design their website. The Madyapadma group has so far been the pioneer of digital libraries in Bali.
