Buleleng needs more hospitals
Buleleng: A member of Buleleng House of Representatives stressed the urgency of constructing hospitals in the western and eastern parts of Buleleng regency.
“Residents of Buleleng mostly live in remote areas far from access to hospitals like the general hospital in Singaraja. Many of these locals are reportedly dying while on their way to the hospital,” said secretary of Buleleng House of Representatives Ida Bagus Pudja Erawan.
He said that currently plans were still under discussion and that a budget allocation from the provincial administration was needed to accelerate construction of these hospitals.
Meanwhile, Singaraja hospital will also be expanded to be able to provide better health services for its patients. The Buleleng administration has allocated Rp 6 billion (US$633,000) to acquire 1,200 square meters for the expansion.
