Ex-Buleleng revenue agency head arrested

BULELENG: The Singaraja prosecutor’s office on Thursday officially arrested the former head of Buleleng revenue agency, Nyoman Pastika, as a suspect in the 2005–2011 land and building tax (PBB) collection fee corruption case.

Pastika’s lawyer, Wayan Sedana, who accompanied his client while heading to the prison on Jl. Veteran in Singaraja, said that he would try to get Pastika’s detention suspended.

Meanwhile, former Buleleng regent Putu Bagiada is scheduled for another interrogation session next week, after the Idul Fitri holidays. “We have sent the summons to him. He is still being summoned as a witness,” said head of special crime division Wayan Suardi.
