Bali Zoo books 25 percent visitor increase
GIANYAR: As many as 3,000 tourists visited Bali Zoo during the Idul Fitri holidays, a 25 percent increase from the same period in 2011. During last year’s Idul Fitri holiday, the zoo recorded 2,400 visitors.
“We have also experienced a significant increase in the number of domestic tourists,” Bali Zoo Public Relations Officer Emma Kristiana Chandra said on Tuesday, as quoted by Antara news agency.
“The number is the total number of tourists visiting the zoo on Sunday and Monday.”
The zoo, which lies in Singapadu village, offers various attractions, including elephant rides and photo sessions with white tiger cubs. The ticket price is Rp 60,000 for adult Bali residents, Rp 75,000 for adult non-Bali residents, and US$24 for adult foreigners.
