Pelindo plants 2,000 mangrove trees
DENPASAR: PT Pelindo III Benoa, the operator of Benoa port in Denpasar, planted 2,000 mangrove trees to conserve nature around the port area.
General Manager of PT Pelindo III Benoa, Iwan Sabatini, said the planting was part of the company’s corporate social responsibility.
The planting of mangroves was expected to prevent the port’s shoreline from eroding, as well as improving the marine environment for sea creatures.
Benoa port welcomes dozens of cruise liners bringing thousands of passengers from around the world every year.
