Denpasar KPU candidates undergo testing
Denpasar: As many as 22 candidate members of the Denpasar General Elections Commission (KPU) are undergoing psychological testing as part of the selection process.
“This psychological testing will measure various abilities that are required by commission members, there are 17 specific points that will be revealed by the testing,” said Supriyadi from Udayana University’s psychology team, on the sidelines of the tests in Denpasar on Monday.
He stated, as reported by Antara news agency, that generally the testing would measure cognitive ability, skills, self-management and leadership ability.
“The test includes multiple choice questions, essays and focus group discussions [FGD] on the following day. The FGD will demonstrate the candidates’ ability to put forward a good argument and to solve problems,” he said.
Supriyadi added that while a high level of cognitive ability was required, the ability to work within a group was also important, as many KPU decisions had to be made collectively.
