Thailand's mobile phone producer Samart i-mobile released Wednesday four mobile phone devices for its new Indonesian market with the sales target of one million units this year.

"We eye 5 percent market shares of mobile phone sales in the country this year," Samart i-mobile Indonesia managing director Thawee Udomkitchote told a press gathering as escorted by Thailand's Samart i-mobile chief operating officer Jong Diloksombat.

"We are quite optimistic to reach our target as we offer good quality products at low prices."

The four mobile phone devices launched in Indonesia are i-mobile 318 with the price of Rp 850,000, i-mobile 518 (Rp 1.5 milllion), i-mobile 520 (Rp 1 million), and i-mobile 613, which is not available yet in the country.

For such good prices, users could get a camera, a mp3 player, a bluetooth, and a micro sd card.

Thawee said buyers could find his firm products mainly in Roxy Mas, West Jakarta and ITC Ambassador, Kuningan, South Jakarta.

Samart i-mobile has been in Indonesia since 2006 in cooperation with a mobile phone operator, pro-XL.

It has also sold its mobile phone devices in other ASEAN countries such as Cambodia, Bangladesh, Malaysia and of course its home country, Thailand. (iwa)
