Astra Insurance cares for Situ Gintung
Leading general insurance company PT Asuransi Astra Buana, along with other Astra financial service companies such as Bank Permata, PT Federal International Finance, PT Komatsu Astra Finance, PT Surya Artha Nusantara Finance, PT Toyota Astra Financial Service and PT Astra Credit Company, collaborated with Rumah Zakat Indonesia to offi cially initiate the Astra Peduli Situ Gintung (Astra Cares for Situ Gintung) program on May 19.
One of the sub-programs implemented by Astra Peduli is EduCare, which gives away regular scholarships for six months to 73 children affected by the Situ Gintung disaster. The program also provides mentoring sessions during which children get to share their feelings and discuss their plans for the future.
