BMW supports biodiesel alternative energy research
PT BMW Indonesia is lending its full support to the alternative energy research currently being undertaken by the Research and Community Services Institute at the Bandung Institute of Technology (LPPM ITB).
The research is looking deeper into the potential of making biodiesel from raw, green materials like vegetable oil rich that is in iodine, and to successfully convert it into effective alternative energy using hydrogenation. Results of the research will be unveiled to the public in about five months. BMW Indonesia president director Joerg Kelling symbolically gave his support to LPPM ITB chairman Indratmo Sukarno at the research site on May 27. “BMW Indonesia is very supportive of using diesel in automotive products due to its lower emission levels,” said Kelling.
