PT Garuda Mataram, the sole distributor for Volkswagen brand in Indonesia, has introduced the new Volkswagen Touran series for the Indonesian market. This is the first family sports car from Volkswagen to be assembled in Indonesia under Indomobil Group’s production facilities.

 “Volkswagen’s decision to assemble units in Indonesia is such a breath of fresh air for the national automotive industry,” said Indomobil Group Gunadi Sindhuwinata.

Wonderfully practical, the Touran combines good looks with good sense. The stylish seven-seater has more than 500 seating variations and 39 storage compartments.

Its 1.4 TSI engine allows a top speed of 198 km/hour and a 0-100 km acceleration in 9.7 seconds. Some of the highlights from Touran include cruise control, climatic AC system, electronic immobilizer and anti-theft security system.

Volkswagen Touran is offered in Reflect Silver, Deep Black, Slate Grey and Candy White with a price tag of Rp 395 million on the road.
