Inspired by the famous cycling race in France that is well known around the world, La Brasserie Restaurant in Le Méridien Jakarta will have Tour de France Culinaire event, starting on 4 to 26 July 2009.

The culinary event that will take place almost a whole month, is a collaboration between Le Méridien Jakarta with CCF – Centre Culturel Français Jakarta.

In line with the cycling competition, the Tour de France Culinaire event will travel across 10 regions in France, as well as crossing the Switzerland and Andorra country in Spain.

As the cycling competition race across various France regions, the France food lovers in Jakarta particularly, can enjoy the specialty or famous dishes of that particular region in our La Brasserie Restaurant. Everyday French food lovers will enjoy different delicious French dishes.

Our Executive Chef, Thierry Guineau, and his “brigade de culinaire” will introduce the authentic dishes of each region that passed by the cycle participants. The “brigade de culinaire” of Le Méridien Jakarta will also present special dishes from Switzerland, as well as from Andorra country.

The delicious dishes will come from the following 10 regions and two countries:

o       Provence- Alpes-Côtes d’Azur — on the first day, and then

o       Languedoc-Roussillon

o       Andorra-Spain

o       Midi Pyrénées

o       Limousin

o       Centre

o       Lorraine

o       Alsace

o       Franche-Conté

o       Switzerland
