Following the massive earthquake that hit West Sumatra, particularly Padang, last week, Ford Motor Indonesia has donated Rp 200 million to the Indonesian Red Cross.
“On behalf of PT Ford Motor Indonesia, I’d like to express my sympathy and deepest condolences to the victims, families and friends who lost loved ones in the earthquake,” said Will Angove, the President Director of PT Ford Motor Indonesia.
As distribution of goods has also become a significant issue, the company and dealers in Pekanbaru and Padang have provided 30 four-wheel-drive Ford Ranger pickup trucks for NGOs operating in the area to ease the burden of transporting aid.
Ford Motor Indonesia, in cooperation with Global Fleet Sales, has also released an ambulance modified to support Act for Humanity in its operations.
“We hope our contribution is worthwhile. We also pray that the victims of this earthquake are granted strength and the fortitude to survive the difficulties they face,” said Angove.
