Great news from General Motors AutoWorld Indonesia (GMAWI): as from March 15, 2010, the latest premium sedan from Chevrolet, no other than the Cruze, will be available on the Indonesian market.

With a 1800 cc engine, the Cruze easily releases a maximum power of 141 hp and peak torque of 176 Nm, while its 6-speed automatic transmission is the first applied in any sedan.

“Deploying the latest Double Continues Variable Cam Pushing (DCVCP) technology, the Cruze can do an outstanding 17 kilometers to the liter of gas. This is a power saver for a 1800 cc engine,” said Debora Amelia Santoso, the marketing director of GMAWI.

Apart from its dazzling interior and spicy hot exterior design, the Cruze’s other great features include the applied anti-lock braking system (ABS) and Hydraulic Brake Assist (HBA) technology, allowing drivers to come to a complete stop in a shorter distance after hitting full speed. As a precaution, its Collapsible pedal feature assures the safety of drivers’ legs should they ever be involved in a head-on collision.

The rain sensor applied in the Cruze is also a popular feature in premium cars, in which wiper speed is auto adjusted to the amount of the rain. From a price perspective, the sleek car will sell from Rp 335 million to Rp 350 million, which is money well spent.
