Ford Indonesia achieves best May sales record

Ford Motor Indonesia (FMI) reported its best May sales record with a 230 percent increase in whole retail sales from the same month last year to 1,536 units. This increase was fueled by continued demand for the strong and reliable Ford Ranger as well as the globally reputable Ford Fiesta.

The popular Ford Ranger marked its amazing sales record in May an increase of 120 percent from last year to 718 units. Meanwhile, the All-new Ford Fiesta keep proving its competitiveness and excellence by producing the best monthly performance through the sale of 631 units in May. Fiesta also receives the Debut Car of the Year at the Indonesia Automotive and Transportation Awards 2011 from Frost & Sullivan.

FMI has experienced significant sales growth this year through its total sales which reached 6,089 units in the first five months of the year, 199 percent increase compared with the same period last year.
