ighlighting breathtaking destinations in East Java, including the Baluran National Park in Banyuwangi and Jatiroto sugar cane plantation in Lumajang, "I Love You from 38,000 Feet" offers movie-goers a sense of adventure .

The movie visually exploits the aforementioned destinations in a bid to attract foreign tourists, aiming to replicate the rise of tourism in Bangka Belitung after it was promoted in "Laskar Pelangi" (Rainbow Troops).

The film was inspired by late AirAsia flight attendant Khairunisa who wrote a love letter prior to boarding the Air Asia flight that crashed last year, producer Sukhdev Singh told Antara news agency. The film took nine months to script, prepare and shoot, followed by a two-month editing process.

"The film targets an audience aged between 15 and 25-years-old," said Singh.
