he Mannequin Challenge trend, originally set by a group of Edward H. White High school students in Florida, US, has deluged Indonesia, with many renowned celebrities like Raffi Ahmad, Aming, Jordi Onsu, Jessica Iskandar and Syahrini posting clips of “frozen situations” lasting from less than 30 seconds to one minute.
Up to 17,000 videos will come up when “Mannequin Challenge Indonesia” is searched on YouTube because beyond these celebrities, the activity is also performed by many groups, including police and the national soccer team.
Below are five must-watch Indonesian Mannequin Challenges as selected by kompas.com.
Brebes Police traffic unit (Satlantas Brebes)
Already reaching 10,200 views on its official Instagram account, @satlantasbrebes, the Mannequin Challenge by Satlantas Brebes used the publicity for the Zebra Candi Operation on Jl. Veteran, Brebes, Central Java as a background for their frozen situation, which involved the police and local residents.

National soccer team
The team players, who are supposed to be gearing up for the 2016 ASEAN Football Federation Cup (AFF), were busy posing as statues in a hotel corridor, with midfielder Irfan Bachdim seen in the midst of vacuuming the carpet.
Rafathar
The film crew of the upcoming movie Rafathar -- which tells the story of Raffi Ahmad’s toddler son -- gathered themselves together and froze in a cramped room, which seemed to be in a film-shoot location. The video was posted on Raffi Ahmad’s Instagram account and has attracted more than 549,000 views.

Aceh Besar traffic unit (Satlantas Aceh Besar)
Already viewed by 652,000 people, Satlantas Aceh Besar’s Mannequin Challenge shows a still of regular police activity, yet with more drama and action as compared to the one done by Satlantas Brebes. A policeman is seen stopping a child riding a motorcycle and even chasing a suspect who is attempting to escape.
School students
High school students also took part in this Mannequin Challenge, as teenagers posed in their wildest ways while at school with some climbing up tables and laughing all over the place. (mra/kes)
