fficial cashback partner of National Online Shopping Day (Harbolnas), Singapore-based e-commerce ShopBack, is set to lure shoppers with attractive offers during the festival on Dec. 12-14 while also educating them to shop smarter.
"We want to educate Indonesian people that they shouldn’t shop simply as consumers but also be smart shoppers," ShopBack Indonesia country manager Indra Yonathan said on Friday, referring to utilization of the cashback facility offered by the company.
Among the promotions provided by e-commerce providers is the Mandiri Shop Fest, which is accessible for Bank Mandiri debit and credit card holders. It offers combined discounts of up to 90 percent by Bank Mandiri, plus Rp 500,000 (US$37.55) cashback by ShopBack.
Bank Mandiri customer lifecycle management vice president Arief Satiana said the bank aimed to further familiarize users with cashless transaction during Harbolnas.

ShopBack will also feature Fashion Shop Fest, where customers will be able to find collections curated by “fashion advisors”, which include 12 local fashion, beauty bloggers and influencers. The items selected are said to be sold with a discount of up to 30 percent.
Meanwhile the company's Music Shop Fest invites people to shop for music from Trinity Optima Production, Sony Music Entertainment Indonesia and Warner Music Indonesia on iTunes with cashback promos of up to 90 percent. "This service aims to educate Indonesian people to purchase music legally," Indra said.
To utilize the cashbacks offered during the festival, users can access ShopBack Indonesia’s website or mobile app prior to conducting their transactions. (kes)
