In a new partnership between Marvel and snack maker Frito-Lay, Doritos are going analog.
To promote Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, a limited number of Dorito bags will come equipped with a built-in, rechargeable cassette deck-inspired player that will play the movie's full soundtrack.
The soundtrack for the first Guardians of the Galaxy film contained hits from the 1970s and 1980s like Blue Swede’s Hooked on a Feeling, and Marvin Gaye’s Ain’t No Mountain High Enough. The soundtrack for the sequel is in the same vein and features pop and rock songs from the same decades from artists like Fleetwood Mac and George Harrison.

Even actor David Hasselhoff recorded an original song for the movie that will also be on the soundtrack, titled Guardians Inferno.
This isn’t Frito-Lay’s first venture into incorporating technology into their bags. During the 2017 Super Bowl, they came out with limited edition Tostitos “Party Bags” that could detect alcohol on your breath, and could even order you an Uber if your phone was connected through an NFC chip.
While no price has been announced yet, the Guardians of the Galaxy line of Doritos will be made available on April 28 through Amazon. (sul/kes)
