Facebook is reportedly rolling out a food ordering service on its website and mobile application to selected users.
According to TechCrunch, users may utilize the feature, which is powered by US-based online delivery platform Delivery.com or Slice, by clicking on the ‘Order Food’ hamburger icon. The icon is placed within the social media’s sidebar, along with other features, such as photos, games and offers.
All ordering steps take place via Facebook. After clicking on the icon, users will be able to browse the restaurant’s menu, add items to the shopping cart, edit orders, set a tip and finally pay via Facebook. A confirmation e-mail containing order details, as well as estimated arrival or pickup time will later be sent to the users.

Facebook announced the plan for the feature last October. However, there is still no confirmation as to when it will be made available to every user, including those who reside in Indonesia. (mas/asw)
