BO has announced that Silicon Valley’s TJ Miller will not be returning to the show to continue his portrayal of Erlich Bachman.

Silicon Valley depicts the ups and downs of startups in the San Francisco Bay Area, and has worked with real life tech executive and former Twitter CEO Dick Costolo to portray the tech industry more accurately.

The news of Miller’s departure comes on the heels of the Emmy-nominated comedy’s season five renewal.

HBO told Variety that, “the producers of Silicon Valley and TJ Miller have mutually agreed that TJ will not return for season five. In Erlich Bachman, TJ has brought to life an unforgettable character, and while his presence on the show will be missed, we appreciate his contribution and look forward to future collaborations.”

There has been no announcement yet on how his character will be written out of the show. (sul/kes)
