ids S.A.F.E is part of S.A.F.E (Safety Awareness Family Environment) program that aims to increase people’s awareness about personal-security, especially in public areas.

Hosted by Taman Anggrek Mall in West Jakarta, the kids program consists of workshops where children learn how to act in public including using public facilities correctly and what should they do if they are separated from their parents. Among the activities are learning to use escalators and elevators. Kids are taught to keep themselves safe and comfortable in a crisis situation.

Moreover, there is also Summer Camp for children where they can participate in various classes, such as coding, science, ballet and urban gardening, which ends on July 9. The camp also adopted the animation Paw Patrol as this year’s icon.

“We chose Paw Patrol as Summer Camp’s icon this year because children like the animation series with its interesting story lines and good values of its characters,” said the mall’s assistant general manager Marcella M. Tjandra in a press release, adding that the series also speaks for the Kids S.A.F.E program.

Meanwhile, the S.A.F.E program itself has been ongoing since April. Some of its activities include fire-fighting simulation, first aid and safety inspections. (asw)
