opular live TV show, TRL (Total Request Live), is set to return on Oct. 2 as part of MTV president Chris McCarthy's big plans to revive the cable network.
The show ran from 1998-2008 for more than 2,240 episodes.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the new TRL will feature five co-hosts – rapper and comedian DC young fly, who is a part of MTV’s Wild n’ Out; Chicago radio host Erik Zachary; DJ-actress Amy Pham, TV personality Lawrence Jackson; and writer-producer Tamara Dhia. Additional hosts are being considered as MTV is in talks with YouTube and web influencers, among others.
