Nestled in the PIK Avenue shopping mall, the newly opened outlet, at first glance, looks similar to the previous two. Once guests take a closer look, however, they will see “Pasta Marche” written on the front signboard.

AWkitchen director of operations Lowrenz Tanuwidjaja told The Jakarta Post during the grand opening on Friday that, unlike the previous two outlets, which are named Pasta House, the PIK outlet focuses on pasta and pizza.

That being said, the restaurant also offers dishes that cannot be found at the other outlets, such as Japanese Italian umami style, including cod roe and Japanese mushroom; sakura shrimp and winged green beans; salmon roe and squid; a mix of Japanese mushrooms and garlic oil; as well as pork-based dishes.

During the grand opening, The Post had the opportunity to sample the celebrity chef’s signature bagna cauda (Italian dip for vegetables).

The highly acclaimed dish, made with garlic, anchovies, olive oil, butter and cream, is recognized for its tantalizing savory kick that blends nicely with raw vegetables. Though the dish is currently not available at AWkitchen, Lowrenz said they were considering adding it to the menu. (kes)
