ith the pervasiveness of social media, it’s not uncommon these days to see highly anticipated songs by major pop stars get leaked way before their intended release dates.

In a behind-the-scenes feature on the music video of “End Game”—a track from Taylor Swift’s “Reputation” album—the American singer-songwriter let on one of her measures to prevent such leaks from happening: She doesn’t let her backup dancers hear the full version of the song.

“I commend them fully because they’ve been pretending like there’s music playing when there’s really not,” Taylor said, while footage of her dancers moving to a metronome’s beat.

“They have been dancing to a click track,” Taylor added, showing off a pair of ear buds she used so she could hear the song. “It’s incredibly hard work!”
