Pad thai is among the most popular Thai street foods.
While getting a pad thai recipe on the internet is as easy as counting 1-2-3, cooking it right is a whole different story.
Fortunately, two Thai chefs from Millennium Hilton Bangkok hotel, Nauwarat Worabutr and Noorong Charornum, wanted to share some foolproof tips for cooking pad thai.
The two chefs will be showcasing the authentic Thai flavors in the Thaime food promotion at the DoubleTree by Hilton Jakarta-Diponegoro hotel in Central Jakarta until March 11.

The duo, along with the hotel's executive chef Zulkarnain, told The Jakarta Post to use dried shrimp to cook pad thai, as it helps to enhance the flavors.
However, Maneerat said you could also add fresh shrimp or chicken.
Furthermore, the duo suggested cooking it on a low heat.
Lastly, when it comes to plating, the seasoned chefs suggest cooking an omelette prior to cooking the pad thai.
“Place the pad thai on [the center] of the omelette, fold the edges and flip up the corner of the omelette,” said Zulkarnain. (kes)
