n collaboration with Multimedia Nusantara University (UMN), production house Lifelike Pictures and the Indonesian Association of Graphic Designers (ADGI) are set to hold an exhibition featuring Wiro Sableng posters at the university's Building A in Serpong, Banten, from March 23 to 28.
The exhibition will reportedly display 34 works from finalists and semifinalists of the recently held Wiro Sableng Poster Competition by Lifelike Pictures and the ADGI.
Opened on Oct. 12 last year and closing on Feb. 6, the competition reportedly received over 350 posters sent by students and professionals, as it aimed to provide opportunities for Indonesian designers to create alternate posters for the film.

Aside from the exhibition, visitors can also join a roundtable discussion called Expertise Sharing on March 27, which will feature Wiro Sableng producer Sheila Timothy, the film's director, Angga Dwimas Sasongko, production designer Adrianto Sinaga, Caravan Studio founder Chris Lie and the movie poster's designer and the winner of Best Poster Piala Maya 2017, Alvin Hariz.
Held at the Lecture Theater at UMN's Building D, it seeks to provide students and young professionals with insights on design and the film industry directly from the practitioners themselves.
The winner of the poster competition will be announced during the Expertise Sharing discussion.
Coproduced by 20th Century Fox, Wiro Sableng entered post-production on December 2017 and is slated to premiere in September. Adapted from Bastian Tito's book series about the fictional character Wiro Sableng, a renowned martial arts hero in Indonesia, the film is the first cooperation between the Hollywood studio and Indonesia, and the first such cooperation in Southeast Asia, for that matter.
Written by Tumpal Tampubolon, Sheila Timothy and Seno Gumira Ajidarma, one of the most anticipated Indonesian films of the year will also feature stars such as Vino G. Bastian, Sherina Munaf, Yayan Ruhian and Fariz Alfarizi. (kes)
