Boyzone to kick off farewell tour in Bandung

Boyzone will perform in Bandung on Aug. 18 at the start of their farewell tour in Indonesia.

rish boyband Boyzone is to perform on Aug. 18. in Bandung, West Java, as part of the band's farewell tour before they disband in 2019, after 25 years together in the music industry.

Bandung is the starting point of their Indonesian tour. Titled “Boyzone 25 Years Farewell Concert – Live in Bandung”, the concert will be held at The Trans Luxury Hotel Convention Centre.

Boyzone was formed in 1993 with members Ronan Keating, Stephen Gately, Keith Duffy, Mikey Graham and Shane Lynch. The group became one of the most successful boybands of the 1990s, and have released four studio albums and seven compilation albums to date.

Former band member Gately died in 2009 of natural causes.

Celebrating its 25th anniversary, the group will also release Thank You & Goodnight, which features guest songwriters including Ed Sheeran and Gary Barlow. 

After Bandung, the group will head to Surabaya, East Java, for a concert on Aug. 23.

Promoter Otello Asia announced that tickets would be available in three categories at Rp 750,000 (US$52) for Festival tickets, Rp 1,500,000 ($104) for VIP and Rp 2,500,000 ($174) for VVIP.
