'It' sequel drops first look of James McAvoy, Jessica Chastain

udience’s first look at the adult cast of It: Chapter Two was released today, as production began on the sequel to the highest grossing horror film of all time.

In the first installment of It, based on the book by Stephen King, evil revisits the town of Derry, Maine, every 27 years. The events of Chapter Two will bring the characters back together nearly three decades after the events of their childhood.

Jessica Chastain, who will be taking over as Beverly, posted a teaser on Instagram, captioned: “DAY 1 โœ” #BeverlyMarsh #ITmovie๐ŸŽˆ”

Alongside Chastain, James McAvoy stars as grown-up Bill, Bill Hader as Richie, Isaiah Mustafa as Mike, Jay Ryan as Ben, James Ransone as Eddie, and Andy Bean as Stanley.

The kids who starred in the first It will also be making appearances in the film: Jaeden Lieberher as Bill, Wyatt Oleff as Stanley, Sophia Lillis as Beverly, Finn Wolfhard as Richie, Jeremy Ray Taylor as Ben, Chosen Jacobs as Mike, and Jack Dylan Grazer as Eddie.

Pennywise, portrayed by Bill Skarsgård, will also be back.
