With regard to weather conditions during the wee hours of the event, Eko advised that spectators bring jackets and make sure they are fit and healthy.
The period of complete eclipse or totality, when the moon appears darkest, is expected to last 103 minutes, making Friday's eclipse the longest eclipse of the 21st century.
“Since it will be the longest eclipse, it will have four phases. However, if it rains or if the evening is cloudy, the viewing would have to be cancelled,” Eko said. (wng)
