The ever-growing number of film piracy cases has created a concern for Vino, who described his struggle in dealing with his own films being pirated.
ndonesian actor Vino G. Bastian has been appointed as an antipiracy ambassador by the Film Producers Association (APROFI) and movie theater chains Cinema XXI, CGV and Cinemaxx, reports tempo.co.
The ever-growing number of film piracy cases has created a concern for Vino, who described his struggle in dealing with his own films being pirated.
“It does get irritating when talking about piracy. Numerous times my films have been pirated through streaming platforms,” he says.
Film piracy is a big issue since it creates disadvantages for many parties, with Vino stating those who commit piracy should receive strong sanctions.

“As an actor, and representing my friends, and hundreds even thousands of actors behind a film, it needs to be known that acts of piracy don’t just cause disadvantages to the industry. It also causes disadvantages and harm to actors,” Vino says.
In response to pirated films shared by the public, Vino reminded people to think smartly and avoid accessing them. (anm/kes)
