After a 56-year wait, Indonesia is hosting the Asian Games for the second time.

Asia’s largest multi-sports event kicks off on Saturday and will run until Sept. 2. During the event, thousands of athletes from 45 Asian countries will compete in several locations, namely Jakarta, Palembang in South Sumatra and some parts of West Java.

In conjunction with the event, Google has launched several special features.

Google Search for Asian Games 2018

For the 2018 Asian Games, Google Search is set to provide users with up-to-date information about the competitions.

This feature is not limited to the latest news about the event, but also the medal tally rankings, allowing users to keep abreast of their country’s position at the event.

Match highlights on YouTube

If you happen to miss a sports event, fret not, as you can now watch the highlights on YouTube.

Provided by Emtek, the exclusive broadcast partner for the 2018 Asian Games, users can check the highlights on the YouTube accounts of SCTV and Indosiar.

Google Translate by Speech

The Google Translate by Speech feature allows you to communicate with all the foreign athletes or supporters. All you need to do is to talk directly into it and let the device translate it to other languages.

Check the stadiums

Those planning to watch sport matches may want to use Indoor Maps and Street View features on Google Maps to learn about the venues.

Google said in a statement that these features allowed users to check more than 25 venues in Indonesia, including the Gelora Bung Karno stadium in Central Jakarta, Jakabaring Sport City in Palembang, South Sumatra, and Gunung Mas in Puncak, West Java.
