ootwear and accessories brand Charles & Keith is usually recognized for its classy chic designs. However, for its fall-winter 2018 collection, the brand is presenting a different take on fashion, highlighting bold and edgy designs.

The "Redefined" collection is said to highlight self-expression and originality. When compared with previous collections, fashion lovers can now discover more minimalist, sports-inspired looks and simple styles.

Charles & Keith head of marketing Haryanto Pratantara said during a media gathering on Thursday that fashion was not limited to elegant style.

“[Fashion] is also fun, bold and edgy. This collection wanted to highlight those styles,” he said.

The new collection features popular styles, such as mules, sneakers and pumps. Most of the footwear come in monochrome colors, making  them easy to mix and match.

Meanwhile, the bag collection features practical designs, such as mini bags, nylon strap crossbody bags, boxy clutches and more.

Haryanto said the new collection was suitable for those aged between 17 and 25 years old.

In regard to price, footwear is priced at around Rp 700,000 (US$47.04), while bags are around Rp 1 million.

In line with its theme,  Charles & Keith will also host a special event on Sept. 29 at Tunjungan Plaza IV shopping mall in Surabaya, East Java. During the one-day event, customers will be able to express their individuality by hot-stamping their initials on a set of tags. (kes)
