Online marketplace Blibli.com has collaborated with five Indonesian designers for the upcoming 2019 Jakarta Fashion Week.
The designers are Andhita Siswandi of Andhita by Andhita Siswandi, Clarissa Hartawan of Clemence, Nina Nikicio of Nikicio, Mielka Raputra Bardin and Tjuk Nurputro Guritno of Wellborn and Tities Sapoetra of TS the Label by Tities Sapoetra.
Marvie Samala, Blibli.com’s senior vice president for lifestyle, said this endeavor marked the marketplace’s third time being involved in Jakarta Fashion Week. “We will present a fashionable collection, and at the same time they will wear clothing that is wearable for daily activities,” she added.
Tjuk Guritno said this would be Wellborn’s first experience in the fashion week foray. “We appreciate the local spirit that we find here,” said Tjuk. “And as it is our first time, we are excited and look forward to learning from this experience.” The label is known for its use of graphic design and edgy menswear.

While for Tities of TS the Label by Tities Sapoetra, this will be the label’s first experience in an online marketplace. “I chose Blibli.com as it has a wide scope in the market. In regard to Jakarta Fashion Week, they are experienced and equipped with fashion know-how, so I trust them,” he said.
For fashion week, Nikicio will present the theme of nomadic travelers. “There will be a lot of patterns and colors,” said Nina, whose label is known for its monochrome colors and unexpected designs.
Clarissa Hartawan said Clemence would feature a mixture of tweeds, pleats and pops of colors. “We received helpful input from Blibli.com in the design process,” she said.
The collection will be presented on Oct. 24 at the annual fashion event taking place in Senayan City, Central Jakarta. Afterward, it will be exclusively available on Blibli.com, with the marketplace offering installments with zero interest, as well as a 15-day return policy and free shipping. (wng)
