T

he annual Indonesia Comic Con (ICC) is set to return for two days from Oct. 27 to 28 in Hall A-B of the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) in Senayan, Central Jakarta.

The pop culture event will feature local and international actors, artists and cosplayers with its panel sessions, exhibition, live performance and cosplay competition.

Widely recognized as Hodor in HBO’s award-winning series Game of Thrones, actor Kristian Nairn is set to be one of the special guests at ICC 2018. Also working as a DJ, Nairn is the headline act at Rave of Thrones – a music show with a Game of Thrones atmosphere. Bringing his music event to Jakarta, Nairn will also perform at The Pallas’ Halloween night party on Oct. 27.

American actor Adrian Pasdar is also scheduled to attend the event. He is known for his role as Glenn Talbot in Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Morgan Edge in Supergirl. “I’m going to be in Indonesia […] if you happen to be near Jakarta, swing by and say hello,” read Pasdar's Instagram post.

Amanda Righetti reportedly will also attend ICC 2018. She has appeared in many TV series and films, including in Captain America: First Avenger, Friday the 13th and The Mentalist.

Meanwhile cosplayers scheduled to attend the event are: Leon Chiro from Italy, King TW from Taiwan and Chihiro Chang from Taiwan. Among the artists featured at ICC are: Alan Quah, Dexter Soy, Harvey Tolibao, Cryssy Cheung, Iwan Nazif, Ario Anindito, Yasmine Putri, Arif Prianto and Jasmine Surkatty.

Taku Inoue, Japanese designer and composer of Tekken, Ridge Racer and Idol Master, will also join the crowds at ICC 2018.

"As for the popular brands, we will present Disney Animation's Mickey Mouse, Marvel's Studio's Avengers, Disney Interactive's Battle Line and Pixel Quest, 20th Century Fox's Alita: Battle of the Angel, Paramount Pictures' Bumblebee movie and many more," said Steven Chwee, the general manager of Reed Panorama Exhibitions as the event organizer, in a press release. 

Presale tickets can be purchased online with prices starting at Rp 25,000 (US$1.65) for one day. The second presale phase will end on Oct. 25. 

Aiming to indulge pop culture enthusiasts, last year ICC invited Jason David Frank, the man behind the Green Ranger in Power Rangers, and Daniel Logan, who played the young Boba Fett in Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones. (wir/kes)
