Ikea, Never Too Lavish hold auction to raise money for Palu

kea Indonesia is collaborating with local custompreneur Never Too Lavish to hold a charity auction for Palu and Donggala earthquake and tsunami victims.

The auctioned items include Ikea products such as chairs, cabinets and drawers customized with Never Too Lavish’s designs. A cabinet with a silhouette of Sulawesi on its front is one of the prominent designs displayed.

All proceeds from the auction will go to UNICEF to support the Family Reunification Tracing program for the disaster victims.

“We are saddened by the earthquake and tsunami in Palu and Donggala last September, surely there are still many victims that need our help,” said Ikea Indonesia country marketing manager Eliza Fazia as quoted by kompas.com.

The online auction has been running since Oct. 26. Meanwhile the “Auction for Goodness” live auction, set to be attended by Swedish Ambassador to Indonesia Marina Berg, will be held on Nov. 2 at the Ikea Restaurant, Alam Sutera, Banten, at 6:30 p.m. (iru/kes)
