Shopee Indonesia 12.12 sales event offers series of daily promos

After its successful 11.11 online sale in November, Shopee has returned with its 12.12 birthday sale.

nline marketplace Shopee Indonesia is currently holding its 12.12 Birthday Sale, which opened on Nov. 19 about a week after its 11.11 Big Sale and runs through Dec. 12.

Various offers are available throughout the program, including up to 120 percent cashback, a Shopee quiz with prizes worth a total of Rp 12 billion and free shipping without minimum purchase.

Potential shoppers can visit a special page for daily vouchers and offers, such as a "mother and baby" sale and brand discounts.

On the sale's Nov. 19 launch, Shopee Indonesia named BLACKPINK as its first regional brand ambassador. The K-Pop girlband performed at the "Road to Shopee 12.12 Birthday Sale" event in West Java on the same day.

Shopee CEO Chris Feng said that the e-commerce platform, which is available in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, Indonesia, Vietnam and the Philippines, had taken a giant step in the past year to strengthen its position.

“We’re honored to welcome BLACKPINK as part of our family. […] We hope to collaborate with BLACKPINK and YG Group to create an interesting initiative that unites all of our customers from different countries,” Feng said in a press release. (wir/mut)
