outh Korean singer-actor Choi Siwon has expressed his gratitude on Twitter following his 34th birthday celebration that fell on April 7.

Choi, a member of the popular K-pop group Super Junior, has responded to the birthday wishes on Twitter in English, Korean and Indonesian since April 5.

“I don’t know if I’m qualified for this enormous love and celebration,” he tweeted on April 7 in Indonesian. “I will always remember your very warm attention in my heart and I will share it again."

The tweet has received 78,000 likes and has been retweeted more than 19,000 times.

Numerous Indonesian Twitter users have replied to the aforementioned tweets, with the majority of them praising Choi for being fluent in writing in Indonesian and how his tweets were peppered with jokes.

“Excellent,” wrote Twitter user @azwarpahreza. “Your Indonesian is getting better.”

“He must’ve received 100 in the National Exam [UN] for the Indonesian language test,” tweeted @jjjaejuice.

“Do you actually want to run in our regional elections?” asked user @ituakuhehe.

Oppa [older brother, friend or romantic partner in Korean], you deserve enormous celebration and love. You deserve all of them,” wrote user @oohhaniiii. “Thank you for being a reason for me to smile and feel happy.”

“Dear Si-won,” tweeted @dearChanyeoll. “You don’t need any requirements to be loved, everything is about being sincere in taking and giving. You deserve all of them, even all the happiness in this world.”

Choi often tweets in Indonesian, including when he tried to lift the people’s spirits amid the COVID-19 pandemic and when he visited the country in mid-March.

On Tuesday, Super Junior's fandom, Indonesian EverLasting Friend (ELF), announced that they had donated Rp 5.4 million (US$332) to UNICEF Indonesia as part of the "Choi Siwon Bday Project Donation", which aims to "help the parties involved in overcoming the COVID-19 outbreak in Indonesia".
