Bimbim, has released a statement on why the band has decided to support Basuki “Ahok” Tjahaja Purnama and his running mate, Djarot Saiful Hidayat, for the 2017 gubernatorial election. Born and raised in Jakarta, Bimbim said that what Ahok and Djarot had done was equivalent to Slank’s anti-corruption campaign.
