Goverment, organizer, and also sportmen and sportswomen gear up for highly anticipated Asian Games in August. A lot of changes are seen in Jakarta. For better and worse, it reflects the enthusiasm for the coming event.

In July, we also see more local leaders succumb to graft cases; one of them is a governor. Then we find out how corruption has penetrated the wall of prison. Convicts of graft cases can't help to continue their lavish life behind the bars, and it is facilitated by wardens as happened in Sukamiskin prison in Bandung.

All of these moments have been captured by our photojournalists and published in the paper. We represent curated photos which have strong imagery in this gallery. (ary)
