The only female member of the “Bali Nine” heroin-trafficking gang, Renae Lawrence, is about to walk free on November 21 after more than a decade in prison. She was originally sentenced to life in prison, but on appeal her sentence was reduced to 20 years and then further reduced with yearly remissions and cuts for good behavior. It is likely that Lawrence will be deported shortly after her prison release. She will be the only member of the Bali Nine to have been freed.
