Visitors join Jakarta Fair via Web

JAKARTA: The website team of Jakarta Fair 2003 announced on Friday that at least 286,430 Internet users have visited the fair's website, www.jakartafair.com, since the fair opened on June 12.

The total number of website visitors has been relatively high, indicating that the fair -- or at least its website -- caught the attention of Internet surfers.

The city's official website beritajakarta.com said that up until the 25th day of the fair, the site was accessed at an average of 11,500 visits a day. The highest number of visits in a single day was recorded on July 13, when the site was accessed 20,207 times.

The majority of visits occurred during working days, indicating that most of the virtual visitors are those who have Internet access during working hours. On Sundays, the visits reached an average of 9,000 people. -- JP
