Legislators to visit Aceh

JAKARTA: Some 30 legislators are set to depart Friday to Banda Aceh to discuss the bill on Aceh governance with locals.
The three-day trip is to be led by legislator Ferry Mursyidan Baldan of the Golkar Party, who chairs a special committee deliberating the bill.
However, the legislators would only hold one session on the bill with students, activists, former Free Aceh Movement rebels and community leaders.
They are scheduled to spend more than a third of their time meeting local government and Aceh Monitoring Mission officials. -- JP
