TANGERANG: A woman was shot twice Wednesday by two robbers who escaped with Rp 30 million (US$3,150) belonging to the victim's office.
Siska, 20, withdrew the money from Bank Mandiri in Pamulang, Tangerang, at around noon.
As she was returning to work, two men approached her and grabbed her bag.
""The incident took place right in front of an auto showroom .... The robbers shot her twice to make her let go of the bag. They got her in the right arm. The robbers fled on a motorcycle,"" Pamulang Police detectives chief First Insp. Yulianto was quoted as saying by detik.com.
The victim is being treated at the hospital for two gunshot wounds.
Police are continuing to gather evidence in the case. -- JP
