The Swiss German University conferred 74 bachelor's and master's degrees on graduates Saturday during a ceremony at its German Center campus in Bumi Serpong Damai housing complex, Tangerang.
Bachelor graduates were from the departments of mechatronic, information technology, business administration and hotel and tourism management, while the master's graduates were from the departments of information and technology and business administration.
SGU rector Peter Pscheid (left, front row) said almost all of the graduates already have jobs despite the fact that more than 500,000 university graduates were still jobless this year.
All bachelor graduates underwent internship programs at companies in Indonesia, mainly in the Siemens Indonesia factory in Cilegon, Banten, in the third semester and in companies in Germany in the sixth semester.
Meanwhile, the master's graduates already have jobs in their respective companies, including two graduates who are Chinese citizens working for a Chinese shipping company.
