Indonesia's well-reputed think tank, the Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), and The Jakarta Post will launch a new book written by noted thinker Jusuf Wanandi on global strategic issues and linkages on Friday in Jakarta.
Jusuf is a founder of both the CSIS and the Post.
The book, Global, Regional and National: Strategic Issues & Linkages, is a collection of his articles published in the Post during a period of over 20 years since January 1984.
The book launching will be followed by a seminar, which will feature the country's prominent scholars as well as Defense Minister Juwono Sudarsono and the Post's managing editor Meidyatama Suryodiningrat as commentators, while CSIS executive director Hadi Soesastro will be the moderator. The seminar will begin with a presentation by the author.
Jusuf's book is divided into three parts, each of which examines relevant issues at global, regional and national levels.
The book contains analysis on various complex strategic problems -- ranging from global human rights issues to U.S. policies in East Asia as well as problems in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and Australia-Indonesia relations from an Indonesian perspective.
Both the book launching and the seminar will be held at the CSIS Building on Jl. Tanah Abang III/23-27, Jakarta.
