Atma Jaya hosts int'l seminar

Atma Jaya Catholic University in Jakarta will host an international seminar themed, Reconstructing Indonesia's Economic Sovereignty, on Oct. 12.

The seminar will feature several noted speakers, including member of the Upper House of the Netherlands Parliament, Jos van Gennip, former environment minister Emil Salim and economists Sri Adiningsih of Gadjah Mada University and Mahyus Ekananda of the University of Indonesia.

Economist James Simanjuntak of Atma Jaya will be moderator in the seminar to be held at the university's Yustinus building on Jl. Jend. Sudirman, Central Jakarta.

After the seminar, the organizing committee will launch a book titled Menelusuri Jejak Keterlibatan Frans Seda (Tracing Frans Seda's Involvement) and give a copy of the book to the former finance minister as a gift for his 80th birthday.
